Plymouth Foam, an ALTOR Solutions Company, participated in this year’s EPS-IA Performance, Technology & Operations (PTO) Conference. This annual event specifically focuses on EPS plant operations and management and took place at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. In attendance from Plymouth Foam was Mark Schuh, VP/GM and engineer, Jeff Pahl.
Here are just a few highlights from the two day conference:
Lauren Saidel-Baker of ITR Economics was a keynote speaker and discussed current trends impacting the EPS industry. Her presentation also included details on short and long-term economic indicators with an outlook on inflation from a regional and global perspective.
Other topics of interest included Supply Chain, Technology and Collaborations.
Of special interest to the Plymouth Foam team was the Roberts Service Award. This award honors those making an outstanding contribution as volunteers and exceptional contributions on behalf of the EPS industry. The Roberts family, who founded Plymouth Foam, were longtime supporters and leaders in the EPS Association. What a tremendous tribute it is to continue their legacy.
This year, EPS-IA presented the Roberts Service Award to two very deserving recipients. Luis Espada, Manager, Business Neopor (North America) at BASF and Todd Bergstrom, Director of Products, Atlas Molded Products.
Mark Schuh, VP/GM Plymouth Foam and EPS-IA Board member shared “this award has a special place in our organization recognizing the award creators Tec and Sara Roberts. It is an honor to continue this tradition of excellence created by the Roberts family and living on in our Plymouth Foam People First culture.” The Roberts Service award was created in 2005 with Tec and Sara as the first recipients in honor of Scott and Vance Roberts.
We are grateful to the EPS-IA staff and team who make these conferences such a success. To learn more about the importance of the role EPS-IA plays in our industry, please visit http://epsindustry.org/.
