Plymouth Foam and it’s associates are proud supporters of Sheboygan County. Whether it is creating a float for the local holiday parade, delivering nutritious meals to those who are primarily homebound or taking time to participate in the United Way’s Day of Caring, one thing that is for sure…these community advocates love to give back.
We wanted to feature an outstanding organization that we partner with regularly – Fresh Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County, Inc. Their mission? To enhance the quality of independent living through affordable, nutritious, home-delivered meals and caring social interaction. Their fresh approach, helps our community grow together. They have partnered with local farmers and gardeners who grow and donate a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to use. Their No Waste Process and partnerships in the community mean extra produce donations not used in meals can be shared with local food pantries.
Plymouth Foam has been volunteering to deliver meals for quite some time. Two associates, once a month, use their lunch hour and own vehicle to deliver meals and promote social interaction to those who are primarily homebound in our community. Upon doing so, participants receive three Inspiring Rewards points towards their yearly 50 (each time they volunteer). Their assigned routes occupy roughly 90 minutes of their day.
