October is Manufacturing Month, Wisconsin!
Did you know? Wisconsin’s number one industry is manufacturing. Manufacturing employs more than 460,000 people and creates $56 billion in economic output. We are ecstatic to join the state of Wisconsin in honoring October as Manufacturing Month and celebrating National Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 5th!
As part of our continued efforts to increase awareness of the opportunities available in manufacturing, Governor Walker has proclaimed October as ‘Manufacturing Month’ in Wisconsin. The recognition gives us all the chance to reaffirm the importance of manufacturers to our state’s economy.
“New technology and innovation are critical for growth and sustainability in a global economy. We recognize first hand that manufacturing is not a dark, dank and dangerous choice of careers but the clean, high-tech vocation that will support families for years to come”, said David Bolland, President and CEO of Plymouth Foam.
To support the initiatives of Manufacturing Month, Plymouth Foam will be at Lakeshore Technical College Manufacturing Rocks Career day on October 5th. There will be over 230 high school students and 20 high school career and technical educations teachers attending the event. We can’t wait to interact and educate the students about Plymouth Foam products and services. Be sure to visit our social media pages to see photos and a recap of the event!
