A Greener New Year

We hope you have been enjoying the festive season with your friends and family. We wish a Happy New Year to you and yours in the coming days! At Plymouth Foam, an Altor Solutions Company, many of our teammates are enjoying some time off and – hopefully – a few restful days!

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about our recycling program. Many popular Christmas gifts come packaged with EPS foam. It’s a great opportunity to recycle rather than throw it away.

Here is a review of what we can take and how to recycle with us.

What Plymouth Foam can recycle: #6 Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam that is white, clean, dry and free of debris. This includes items such as insulated coolers and protective packaging for electronics, household goods and toys.

What Plymouth Foam CANNOT recycle:  Food service containers such as foam plates, takeout containers, meat trays, egg cartons, packaging peanuts and any non-EPS type foam.

How to recycle EPS with Plymouth Foam:  EPS Foam material for recycling must be bagged, bundled, boxed, or banded for internal handling. Please mail back or drop off at any Plymouth Foam plant location. To check hours of operation, please call us at 920-893-0535.

If you have packing peanuts – what is referred to as “loose fill” in the industry – we encourage you to call Peanut  800-828-2214 or visit www.loosefillpackaging.com to find an option. You can also check with your local shipping store: many will take and reuse loose fill.

If you have any questions about our recycling program, we encourage you to get in touch with us! Contact us directly at 920-893-0535.
