Gobble, gobble!
Believe it or not, it’s the week of Thanksgiving and soon enough we will be enjoying some turkey, football and quality time with family and friends. In order to help your dinner conversation, here are some fast Thanksgiving facts that you can share with your fellow eaters:
– According to the USDA, 242 million turkeys are expected to be raised in the U.S. this year.
– Minnesota produces the most turkeys in the U.S. (1.16 billion pounds of turkey last year!)
– There are three towns in the U.S. that are named after the traditional bird: Turkey, Texas, Turkey Creek, Louisiana, and Turkey North Carolina.
– Snoopy has appeared as a giant balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade more times than any other character in history.
All fun facts aside, we hope you get a moment over the holiday weekend to reflect on your life and be thankful for your blessings. Here at Plymouth Foam, we are so thankful for the customers we have had the privilege to work with this past year. We enjoy every step of the process with our customers – from the idea stage to final production – and look forward to more projects and solutions in the coming year. We are also so grateful for our quality associates who work hard everyday to make our company better. They truly are the face of our company and their efforts are what makes Plymouth Foam so special.
Speaking of those associates, their efforts will be on full display this weekend at the Plymouth Holiday Gathering Christmas Parade! That’s right – our creativity is in full force (again!)and a holiday parade float will be featured Friday, November 28. The parade begins at 7:00 PM and begins at Caroline Street, flows to East Mill Street, and ends at North Street. The parade features fun events like horse-drawn carriage rides as well as many other local businesses, we hope to see you there!
From all of your friends here at Plymouth Foam, Inc., we want to wish you a happy and safe holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!!
