Plymouth Foam takes part in the Plymouth Holiday Parade this Friday, November 29th. This year marks their eight year involvement in the parade and have a themed float titled, “Active Mind, Active Body” after partnering with the Sheboygan County United Way; a not-for-profit organization that conducts a county-wide fund raising campaign once-a-year to provide money for programs run by local health and human services agencies to address the greatest needs within the Sheboygan community. Every year Plymouth Foam allows their employees the opportunity to join a volunteer committee in which designs and creates a float that is cohesive with the theme of a non-profit. Employees take time out of their day to ensure the float entry is extraordinary year after year. Plymouth Foam President, David Bolland, justifies Plymouth Foam’s excitement of being involved in this event with this statement, “One of the core values of our company includes giving back to the community. This is one of the ways we can help to generate awareness of a local non-profit; having active involvement, sharing our creativity and focusing on the ideals of the United Way. We plan to donate the float to the United Way for them to use willingly throughout the community.”
The parade will include: local organizations, bands, choral groups, businesses, equestrian units and so much more! Project Angel Hugs will be collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED toys for children touched by cancer during the parade. Watch for our “Angel-Elves” in the parade. Gifts will be collected along the route. The parade lines up at St. John Lutheran Church on West Main Street, heads west to Caroline; south on Caroline to Mill Street; east on Mill Street to North Street, north on North Street to Main Street, and then west on Main back to the church. The parade begins at 7:00 p.m.
