Plymouth Foam debuted a parade float at Becker Freedom Days in Becker, MN.
Becker Freedom Days is a week-long community celebration, that includes a 5k run/walk, entertainment, medallion hunt, disc golf tournament, customer appreciation lunch and many other fun-filled family events over the week of Monday, June 12th through Saturday the 16th, 2017.
A community favorite throughout all week festivities, is the Becker Freedom Days Parade; this year, we participated!
The inspiration for the Plymouth Foam parade float came from the true meaning of what the day is all about: freedom! The chosen theme was a star resembling the American Flag. Painted red, white and blue; we considered it a simple design, yet bold and memorable! The float was also decorated with American Flags to show our patriotic spirit!
Overall, the parade was a success, as the team walked the parade route handing out candy and foam baseballs to hundreds of smiling children. (The foam baseballs were a major ‘hit’ :)!)
A special ‘thanks’ to Marshall Pearson and Kat Sihavong, the Plymouth Foam team (Becker, MN and Plymouth, WI) and any others involved, for being creative and the implementation of the successful parade float! It was our first time participating in the parade and won’t be our last!
