Everybody knows the saying, “It’s not what you know… it’s who you know” – meaning that connections between people are important. And in our world, networking between companies is crucial. It’s because of this “linking” idea that Plymouth Foam is a member of the Sheboygan County Chamber. And it just so happens that because of the Chamber, we met and then partnered with a company called MODIX Corporation to become even stronger together.
Every company has its strengths and we continue to be a leading manufacturer of rigid and soft foam products for protective packaging and building materials; while looking to the future, we wanted to add assets that were low cost, low maintenance, energy efficient and easy to operate. So we turned to the Chamber’s network of over 910 members to find a company in the industry capable of fitting our needs. Enter MODIX Corporation. They had just the machine we were looking and their company values matched ours – talk about finding the perfect link.
MODIX is a contract manufacturer for capital equipment goods and specifically focused on products in the particle foam and composite material industry. They also update, rebuild and construct machinery for clients and combine German engineering and American manufacturing to do so. But as we mentioned, we share the same values, like creativity, collaboration and teamwork. Those values became the cornerstone of our relationship and from there we moved forward with the press; churning out beautiful shape molded EPS products for our clients here at Plymouth Foam.
Now we are able to produce your products at an even better quality by simply partnering with another local company (cue thoughts of win-win). As it turns out, that saying proves true: who WE know really has made us stronger.
